Rights holders and Content ID

VUSIC is a user-generated platform. To keep it fair for creators we fingerprint every upload and run a rights registry — a Content ID-style system — that matches uploads to registered works. Rights holders decide what happens to a match: monetise it, track it, or block it.
How matching works
At upload, every audio and video file is fingerprinted (Chromaprint) and checked against our registry and third-party databases. A match produces one of three outcomes: publish, claim (the rights holder earns the ad revenue), or block.
Joining the program
The rights holder program is open to artists, labels, publishers and distributors who can prove ownership or exclusive licence of their catalogue. You register works with metadata and reference audio, choose a default policy per work, and receive monthly statements and payouts through Stripe Connect.

Revenue
Claimed content earns the rights holder a share of the advertising and subscription revenue attributed to validated plays of that content. Play validation excludes bots, replays under 30 seconds and self-plays.
Disputes
Uploaders can dispute a claim once; the rights holder has 30 days to release or uphold it. Upheld claims can be escalated to a DMCA notice, and the counter-notice process then applies.
